Hello,
You are suffering from cracking of voice. You have been on
fluticasone, its side effects are
sore throat, cough,
hoarseness of voice,
allergic reaction like swelling of throat or tongue, etc. Side effects of Budamate are slurring of speech, dryness of mouth, troubled breathing, increased thirst, etc. Talk to your treating doctor regarding the side effects of the medicines that is affecting you.
Other causes that can cause your symptoms are
laryngitis,
dehydration, nerves, Being nervous or anxious causes laryngeal muscles to tighten or become tense restricting the movement of your
vocal folds. Thus, causing strains or cracks when you speak as the folds struggle to move as pitch and volume changes.
Avoid pushing your voice higher or lower presently. Stay at voice rest. The pitch of your voice results from the movement of the cricothyroid (CT) muscle. use it after warming as otherwise it may tighten. This makes your voice crack as the CT muscle moves quickly trying to transition between high and low pitch or volume. Get clinically examined by an ENT, get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
