Does Thyroid Nodule Cause Pressure In Back Of Head?
well, i have been diagnosed with a thyroid nodule. and i'd like to know if pressure in back of head is part of the symptons. I can bend over and i feel pressure in back of head as well as my neck. And the pressure happens if im laying down, standing or even moving about. I also want to know while i wait for further instructions from my doctor, if a needle biopsy is better than a thyroid scan?
Hi, 1. Neck pain or pain in back can be a radiating pain from the enlarging thyroid gland. 2. Ultrasound will tell about the structure of thyroid, number of nodules and type of nodules, While needle test will tell you weather you are having thyroid cancer or not. Both these tests are needed and equally important in thyroid nodule. Usually we do ultrasound first with needle test along with or after that.
