Does Thyroid Report Means I Need To Show Thyroid Specialist?
Got my blood work results for my Thyroid the results was as follows:
Thyrodi Peroxidase Antibodis (50810 Thyroid Peroxiase - 147 Units: IU/ml Range: Was told by one doctor the results are normal and by another that I need to see a Thyroid specialist. Please advise your option.
I would suggest you to have your thyroid function tests done every 6-12 months and start on treatment when your TSH start elevating above normal.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Hi, From the results I think your thyroid function tests is normal and thyroid antibodies are increased. This show that you dont have hypothyroidism now, but is at risk of hypothyroidism. I would suggest you to have your thyroid function tests done every 6-12 months and start on treatment when your TSH start elevating above normal. Hope I have answered your question.
