SIR my mother is suffering from paralysis since 30 June 2015. She is recovering from that disease. But on April 18,2016 she is having fever and have back pain in lower region. Doctor has evaluated creatinine level is 6. We come to Ahmedabad doctor has admitted to icu and told me it is acute kidney failure and MRI report has evaluated as tuberculosis in L1 and L2 region also. Please suggest tuberculosis effects kidney and atk 4 tab have to take for how many days.
Renal tuberculosis will present with various symptoms as: - chronic low grade fever - pyuria and WBC cast with mycobacterium in urine culture - recurrent urinary tract infection - weight loss and loss of appetite - slowly rising creatinine levels - cachexia once there is raised levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha So far as days of AKT is concerned, it is according to the WHO guidelines of management of extra pulmonary tuberculosis and it ranges from 1 to 2 years, and better to be discussed with the treating physician only.
