General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
There are some studies which show that memory loss can be caused by stenting of coronary arteries, which is primarily due to the elements of the stent material taking toll on brain tissues.
However, some other studies contradict the same.
So, there is no clear reason, why one should be advised against undergoing the procedure, since there are no established facts about it.
My advice to you would be, undergo the procedure without worrying about the memory loss.
Hope this helps.
