Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Age is 21, Height 6 3 , Weight of 60kg. I can eat a lot at anytime, it doesn t matter at which time I eat. I have no proper time for my Food. Would a lot amount of eating or eating at maximum possible intervals can help me gaining weight? Is there a possibility about Weak Intestine? What countermeasures will I have to perform if it possible?
As per my clinical experience, the intestines are working at its best pace at 21 years of age as compared to older age group. So younger intestines have ability to digest the metabolites at far better through enzymatic pathway and providing essential elements to the system.
The weight gain depends upon multiple co morbid factors over and above the food consumption as: - Type of food consumed (fat and oily content raise the weight) - Lack of exercises - Sedentary life style - Hereditary factors - Others
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
