Does Urinary Urgency Require Immediate Medical Attention?

My 43 year old son is experiencing urgent urination on an hourly basis. He indicates his urine is clear. He also says he is excessively thirsty. He has been under a lot of stress lately as well. What could this be and what should he be doing? He does not have means for a doctor visit.

Hello,

Frequent urination with an increased thirst can indicate diabetes and it is important that your son has his sugar level checked to rule diabetes out.
If his sugar is normal then he does not need to worry as long as he has no burning with urination, abdominal or back pain or fever. He should continue to drink plenty of water.

If any of the above symptoms develop he needs to see a doctor.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.
