Does Vaginal Discharge Have A Bad Odor Post A Hysterectomy?

Is it normal for the discharge after a hysterectomy to smell like sour rotting flesh ? It will be 2 weeks on Thursday since my abdominal hysterectomy left with 1 ovary . Also is it normal to have labor like pains before during and after a bowel movement it s very painful and another question I ve noticed cloudy urine is this something I should be concerned about ?

Hello,

I think you may develop a yeast infection after vaginal hysterectomy. May be due to giving of antibiotics may change vaginal flora. Other possibilities like bacterial vaginosis. Please get it done of vaginal secretions culture and microscopy. Use tablet fluconazole once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
