Does Weight Loss Cause Decrease In The Blood Sugar Levels?
I have several questions in my mind. 1. If a person having height 5 11 , weighs 100 Kg with 28 years of age, can his blood sugars fall down if weight reduced by 20 Kgs ? 2. If the same person loses his weight, will he be able to eat sweets, juices & shakes ? 3. The random blood sugar is 136 mg/dl tested in a laboratory. How much will it fall down by if weight is reduced by 20 Kgs ?
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer. Weight loss generally doesn't cause significant blood sugar fall unless there is really rapid weight loss. Since insulin hormone regulates blood sugar and keeps it in optimal range despite weight loss.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
