Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Withdrawing From Tri-Linyah Cause Abdominal Bleeding?
My daughter (18) has just been diagnosed with DVT, and was advised to discontinue Tri-Linyah and is taking 15mgs of Xarelto twice daily. A Mirena IUD has been recommended for BC and heavy periods. I am concerned that the lack of estrogen could put her at risk for ovarian and abdomen bleeds. Thoughts?
Slight bleeding can happen while withdrawing Tri-Linyah. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
