Does Zoloft Cause Restless Leg Condition?

does zoloft cause restless leg syndrome because ive been on this medication for about 8 months and this feeling has been coming and going for quite a while now, but this time it feels extremely uncomfortable... i can t sleep at night and it s bothering me during the day also

Your question is does Zoloft cause restless legs. It sounds like you have been on Zoloft for a period of time and now you are having twitching or muscle discomfort. A type of reaction from taking medications like Zoloft called SSRI is a condition called Serotonin syndrome. This is an over production of serotonin in the brain and can cause muscle twitching, restlessness, fever, sweats, nausea, vomiting and confusion. If I were your doctor I would recommend stopping your medication. Since this is a condition that needs to be diagnosed by a physician I recommend you see your doctor to have him/her how best to proceed.
