Doing A Pull Up And Had Popping Sensation. Have I Pinched A Nerve?
Hello, My name is Alyson. A few weeks ago I was doing a pull up and I ended up feeling/ hearing a popping and grinding sound, followed by extreme pain with lack of mobility. That lasted for about a week. Now the pain is less, though still very present and every other day my fingers get tingly and numb for a few hours. Sitting definetly triggers my symptoms and I happen to have an occupation that requires sitting in non ergonomitcal positions for long periods of time. What do you think? Did I possibly pinch a nerve? Thanks, Alyson
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The popping sound that you heard could be related to a small muscle tear or a ligament injury. Since the pain is persistent, an MRI of the area will help in detecting the extent of injury. Have rest till then to have symptomatic relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
