Done MRI Of Left Shoulder. What Does The Reports Indicate?
Just had an MRI on left shoulder . Impression said: (1) Consistent with tearing of portions of the posterior and superior labrum of the left shoulder but there is also a small anterosuperior paralabral cyst raising the possibility of tearing more anteriorly. (2) Minor partial tearing of the deltoid insertion on the distal clavicle (3) Mild left acromioclavicular arthritis . What does all this mean??
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
the report means that a muscle attachment to the collar bone on left is partially torn and also the rim around the left shoulder joint is torn at upper front and back side of the joint and some cystic fluid collection , all suggesting trauma to the shoulder joint. and associated small collarbone joint inflammation.
did you have a sudden pull on shoulder/ arm or other trauma?
how old are you?
I am sure, this satisfies you. take care and follow orthopedic advice. it will be alright.
pl. keep me posted.
good luck !
