Done Angioplasty, Implanted Stents. Heaviness In Chest, Positive TMT. ECG And Echo Normal. Anything Wrong?
Hi, My Father had undergone angioplasty that is2 stents had been implanted a month ago. Yesterday he had an TMT as my father complaining heaviness in the chest sometimes and TMT came positive in the last round but ECG and 2d ECHO are normal. Doctor advised to have CT angiogram after10 days. what might be the cause for TMT positive ? anything wrong with stent? or any other new blockage?

Possibly block in the stent or disease progression in the native vessel
Repeat the TMT with thallium isotope (for function) and do CT angio (for structure)...
If in doubt, repeat angio – that is the gold standard...
