Done Carpal Tunnel Surgery. Have Arthritis. Swollen, Painful Hand During Exercise. Need Other Exercises
I had carpal tunnel surgery 16 days ago. I am in physical therapy. I am 69 yrs. old and also have arthritis on the same hand. I am having a hard time doing the exercises. I think it is due to the arthritis. My had swelled up a lot since the surgery making the exercises painful.. The swelling is not going down. By the end of the day it seems to have gone down but the next day it is swollen again. My therapist says I am not doing the exercises enough. I try to do them 3 to 4 times a day. Do you know some exercises that I can do to add to my regime? I am in great pain most of the day. I had my left hand carpal surgery 3 yrs ago and did not have as much trouble. Please help me.
