Done Tubectomy, Had Ectopic Pregnancy. Taken Methotrexate. Chances Of Recurrence?
My wife had under gone tubectomy in 2006 and on December 9 she was hospitalised for ectopic pregnancy . She was treated with methotextrate dose and now she has recovered and UPT showed negative and had menupause on 17 th January 2013. I would like know what are the chances of recurrence of ectopic pregnancy and what is the best birth control measure.
Menopause is diagnosed if a woman does not menstruate for complete 1 year,so how can she have menopause on jan'13. Secondly chances of pregnancy after tubectomy surgery is 2% and of these 40%are ectopic. Actually best birth control method is one which prevents ovulation so that there is no chance of pregnancy at all and that is with pills but all have there own pros and cons so there is no ideal contraceptive method as yet.
