Done With My CBC Test, Can Any Online Doctor Help Me Read This And Suggest The Required Treatment?
Dear Sir, I underwent a CBC test and my SGPT and SGOT levels were around 140 & 43 respectively I was asked to take light, non oily foods. I did, had boiled food for a while. The level reduced to 120 or so. I again got a check up done where it shot up to 140 again and in the last test, it showed levels of 150. I feel ok, no alcohol/tobacco, no loss of apetite or tiredness. Please help.
I am so sorry to hear about this consistently higher than normal liver function test and all the inconveniences this has caused you.
These tests primarily look at the liver. because they are consistently higher on 3 different occasion, i would suggest that you meet and get consulted by a gastroenterologist. This will help investigate into the possible cause of this. because you really have no symptoms, this could just boil down to an incidental finding. Beside, are you on any medications as this could be a possible cause of isolated increased liver enzymes as others like alcohol and tobacco have been excluded?
I hope you find this helpful and it addresses your query fully. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask me and I will gladly address them. I wish you the best of outcomes as you take active measures to address this abnormal laboratory finding. Dr. Ditah, MD
