Donot Want To Use Condom For Sexual Intercourse. What Is The Best Way To Avoid Pregnancy?
Hi Dr.
Neelam this side... Actually i am going to get married within 12 days. So, i want some suggestions regarding Birth Control. We (me and my husband) have decided to not go for child for at least 1 year. My husband don't want to use Condom for sexual intercourse so what is the best way to avoid pregnancy. Should i go for Birth control Pills or there are some other options available? Please guide me. I belong to India.
Hi neelam, u can go for birth control pills provided you have
1. normal BP
2.No severe migraine
3.no history of thrombophilias
other methods available in india that u can use is you can have vaginal ring...which is to be kept vaginally for 21 days and remove for 7 days there after..It is very effective and no problem with the intercourse. It comes around Rs 650 FOR ONE RING...
transdermal patches are also available costing 750-900 INR which u have to apply over stomach or shoulder for 21 days and then remove for 7 days....
oral hormonal pills are easy to use..once daily...available free of cost by indian govt.....comes as MALA N...Otherwise if u want to purchase it from shops various brands are available...
CONDOM is the only method that prevents SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES....and whenever u miss ur pills...u have to use condom as back up method.....for next few days...
Now its ur choice..u can choose anyone...and i suggest you oral contraceptive pills are best for you among these...
Congratulations in advance for your marriage....
