Dropped Bladder, Postherpetic Neuralgia In Thigh Due To Shingles, Lower Back Ache. Reason?
My gynecologist mentioned at my last visit I had a dropped bladder and that I should not do any lifting. My only symptoms appear to be slow urination, no pain, I am a 73 year old female, had 3 natural childbirths and do osteo exercises for osteopenia . What weight should be my weight lifiting limit be? Also...I am bothered by postherpetic neurolgia in upper left thigh from shingles over 2 years ago. Lower back ache has tended to increase. I have assumed that is partially from some arthritis and effects of the neurolgia. Would a dropped bladder also be causing some of that discomfort? My last visit with OB-byn was in July 2013 Thank you. Lois
Hi, the lower back ache could be due to the arthritis, bladder pain, or post herpatic pain. Regarding the bladder problem consult an urologist for diagnosis and treatment. For pain i to my patient with such symptoms prescribe neurotrophic injections for 10 consecutive days, and one injection every week, and pain killers when ever there is pain. Thank you.
