Dry Heaving, Vomiting, Took Zoloft, Burp All Time. What Is Wrong?
43 yr old male. Dry heaving and sometimes vomiting every morning and sometimes afternoon. Was taking Zoloft for about 40 days this started shortly after taking the Zoloft. Has since tapered off Zoloft but the dry heaving and vomiting continues. Use to burp all the time ( I mean ALL the time) burping is at a minimum since onset of dry heaving and vomiting. What is wrong? Please help!
Zoloft should not be stopped suddenly. Otherwise it can cause symptoms mentioned by you. Zoloft treatment should be started gradually and it can cause such symptoms for few weeks. Usually this symptoms are temporal and go away after some time. Other possible reasons of your symptoms are stomach issues like peptic ulcer, stomach inflammation or Helicobacter Pylori infection. I suggest you to visit your doctor and clear the situation with Zoloft. You should also consider gastroscopy to check your stomach.
Hope this will help. Regards.
