Dry Itchy And Scaly Skin On The Back Of Head. Tried Hydrocortisones And Shampoos With No Help. Can I Cure It ?
i have dry itchy, scaly skin on the back of my head. i have tried all types of dandruff shampoo to get rid of it and i've tried hydrocortizone cream and nothing works. also after i take a shower the back of my head always tends to bleed afterward. What is it and how can i cure it?
I understood your concern. You seem to be having either seborrheic dermatitis or scalp psoriasis, or a combination of both called sebopsoriasis.
Since you have bleeding ,it point a little towards psoriasis. Keep applying hydrocortisone cream for sometime or shift or a little stronger preparation like 0.1% betamethasone at night. Apply a rich moisturizer during the day time.
Continue with ketocoanzole shampoo ( apply nizoral since it has other anti fungal ingredients too, other than ketoconazole ), after lathering , apply the foam on to affected area too, keep for 3-5 minutes and then wash off.
I'd recommend you to see your physician asap and get yourself evaluated in case it is psoriasis.
Hope I helped
