Dry, Red Eyelids, Flaking, Swollen, Tender To Touch. Applied HC Cream, Neutrogena. Meet Dermatologist?

thank you. I have very dry red eyelids. often cracking, flaking, swollen. tender to touch. i have noticed that my eyelashes are shorter, thinner. i have used HC cream, which just makes them flakier. and it burns. I use neutrogena make up remover and cleanser for my face, thinking hypo allergenic product will be easier to my skin. not.
wondering what it might be, should i see a dermatologist? can i use something otc?
thank you.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,
It seems from the history that you are having blepharitis for which you have used HC cream.

Usually blepharitis requires treatment for a long time as it is a chronic condition. The treatment options depends on the type and severity of blepharitis. Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
