Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As you mentioned that pain in the chest is from last March with high cholesterol level, so this pain may be due to.
1 Esophagitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy. This pain may be due to hyper acidity ( gastritis ) . Hyper acidity causes esophagitis .Acid reflex is the main cause. Avoid greasy , junk spicy foods. Also avoid excessive coffee , tea, chocolates , sweets. Also take some antacid but if symptoms are severe then you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors .
2 Tension is the next reason.
3 Shortness in breath and high level of cholesterol indicates involvement of heart . Diagnosis can be confirmed by E K G & ECHO .
In my opinion deal accordingly . Consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck. Dr. HET
