ECG Report Showing Hypertrophy, Left Anterior Hemiblock And ST Segment Depression. What Is Wrong?
Sir, My father is 74 years. His latest ECG report is mention as below probably MI (lateral) suspected left ventr. hypertrophy left anterior hemiblock left axis deviation slightly depressed ST segment (lateral ST - segment depression (anterior) negative T-wave (lateral, anterior) S waves up to V6 PL. LET ME KNOW THE YOUR VIEWS ABOUT REPORT
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
IN ABSENCE OF OTHER detail history like diabetes , hypertension or past history of heart attack , i can comment that left ventricular hypertrophy may be age related or due to hypertension , some axis deviation with t wave changes may occure due to hemiblock on ECG or may be due to ischemia ,
it is best to consult your cardiologist and do some more test like 2 D Echo and serial ECGs and get evaluated further ,
take care
