Hi. Welcome to Healthcaremagic
In heart attack where the patient has chest pain you will see ST elevation. In a patient who has no chest pain but ischemic heart disease, you will see ST segment depression and T wave inversion. But if the ST segment is not depressed but slopped, similarly T wave is flattened. Thus ST -T changes not consistent with specific disease are called non- specific changes.
