Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Estimated glomerular filtration rate is one of the best overall indicators of kidney function.

The normal level can vary according to age, sex, race and body size.

As you stated a level less than 60 can be an indicator of impairment of kidney function.

Her doctors would suggest measures to prevent further deterioration of kidney function. This would involve(1) maintaining normal blood pressures and blood sugars
(2)avoidance of medications that may worsen kidney function such as aspirin
(3)medications to help with any complications of kidney disease

I hope this helps
