EKG Showed Skipping Heartbeat. On Xanax For Panic Attacks. Could This Be A Temporary Condition?

my doctor found skipped beats after every 3 or 4 regular beats. this was determined by an ekg. he advised eliminating caffeine from my diet, to start with. I am overweight, have good cholestorol levels, normal blood pressure & generally in good health, except for occasional panic attacks for which i take xanax .1 %.
is there anything else i should do, or is this a temporary condition which will go away in time?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Usually, it is temporary
See an Internist / get yourself examined / at times, basic investigation may be necessary...
Irregular heart beats need to be DOCUMENTED by ElectroCardioGram (EKG).
Anaemia / Anxiety / Alcohol / Tobacco (smoking) / Caffeine (too much tea, coffee, cola) / Fever / Infection / Pain / Stress / Thyroid / - may be responsible.... rarely, abnormal nerve paths in the heart (bypass tracts) or disease of the conduction system is the cause!

Good luck
Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
