Ear Blockage Due To Water, Dizziness, Pain In Ears On Swallowing, Burping. Eardrum Rupture?

I jumped into the water today and as soon as I came up from the water I was dizzy and both of my ears hurt very badly and felt clogged. Now I am in a lot of pain and my throat hurts. Things such as burping or swallowing is killing my ears. My ears didn t hurt and I wasn t sick before I jumped 20 feet or so off at a nearby lake. Could I have ruptured my ears? What can I do?

you have typical features of barotrauma,which is a collection of fluid in the middle ears due to suddenpressure changes occurring inside the ears.The eustachian tube,a pressure tube in the throat aerating the ears,clogged up suddenly.You may put nasal drops 3drops twice daily each nostril ,lying down,wait 5 mins ,then inalation of steam is a must!A cetrizine at nigth,an antibiotic,like Amox500 thrice daily for an adult,for a week and short course of steroid like wysolone 10 mg thrice daily,to be taperse every 2 days,will heal you.and exercise your eustachian tube to open by chewing on gum constantky for a couple of days.
