Ear Hurting With Some Black Stuff In It. What Could This Be?
My ear has been hurting for the past week. It was so bad that it was swelling and causing my right side of jaw to hurt but after i put peroxide in my ear the swelling went down and it didnt hurt anymore. The next day about halfway through it began hurting again so i used a bobby pin thinking its just a build up of wax but i noticed it wasnt just ear wax it was some black stuff coming out as well. I cant go to the doctor until i get home from college because my mom has my medical card so what can i do? And what do you think this is ? Please help, im desperate..
Hi, Thanks for asking query on health care magic. Your problem seems to be impacted ear wax giving pain and tenderness. Put Waxsolv drops 3-4 drops 4 times daily and take some pain killer like ibuprofen for 4-5 days. Usually it gets dissolved and most of it comes out. Afterwards you can go to a doctor if required who will remove the wax from the ear under direct vision with ear buds or with some probe. Hope this answer will serve your purpose. Please feel free to ask any more queries if required. Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD; DCH. Associate professor of pediatrics, MIMS.
