Ear Infection, Polyps In The Center Of The Nose, X-ray Normal, No Sense Of Smell. Suggestions?
i had an ear infection about a year ago, then went into my sinuses for about 4 months. it returned 6 monts ago the same way. went to doc and said i had polyps in tne center of nose or behind. took x rays and showed nothing. going for cat scan now. also lost my sense of smell although when blowing nose i can smell for a split second. what are some of the possible things i have? thanks, scott bisping
hello. polyps are not seen on an x-ray and it is advisable that you get the cat scan done. loss of smell can be due to a variety of reasons and polyps is one of them. dont worry, most of the polyps can be managed with medicines. thanks
