Ear Pain, Swelling. Crunching Sound In The Ear With Neck Pain. Tinnitus? MRI Showing Fluid In The Mastoid Tip
Hello have had increasing ear pain swelling in my left ear for 6 months or so and unusual loose cartilage of the outer ear and crunching sounds below the ear towards the neck with increasing stiff neck pain and continuous roaring tinnitus . A recent mri indicated imaged mastoid air cells demonstrate small fluid in the right mastoid tip. Also recent history of sinus problems and lot of continued drainage. Could this be related to an infection of the air mastoid cells?
Since you have recurrent problems in both your ear and sinuses, i would suggest you to undergo a CT study of the sinuses and temporal bone or the ear so that we can get to know the exact nature of your problem. Also since MRI shows only soft tissue problems such as fluid, we need CT to define the bony lesions.
Depending on the reports the next course of action will be decided
