Ear Swollen And Red, Have A Bump, Sore To Touch, No Hearing Issues. Boil?

Husband's earlier has been swollen and red for 2 days. It appears to have a bump in the front of his ear, but no head on it. It is sore to the touch but no hearing issues or other symptoms. He wants to pick it and I told him to see a doctor. From looking online, I'm concerned it may be a boil but it's hard to find information to verify with pictures.

Hi,
It seems that your husband might have external ear infection and forming an abscess.
Go for one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines after consulting your doctor.
Ok and take care.
