Ear Wax Removed, Swollen, Clogged Ear, Difficulty Hearing. Why Is This Happening?
Today I had to go in for a physical and the person checking out my ears really jabbed the light in there, she came out with a ton of wax and my ear started to kill. For the whole day my ear has been feeling swollen and clogged and I'm having a hard time hearing from it. I'm also just getting over a cold. What do you think has happend? What should I do? It's really painful

Ear Wax Removed, Swollen, Clogged Ear, Difficulty Hearing. Why Is This Happening?
Hi thanks for writing to us about query. I read your query regarding clogged ear after removing wax from ear, though you are having cold also. As you are saying your problem arised after ear cleaning, the possibilities are- (a) Ear wax may not be removed completely and part of it now came in contact with ear drum. (b) During cleaning ear drum may get perforated. (c) Dysfunction of eustachian tube as you are having cold also. So in my opinion you should consult ENT doctor for thorough examination to confirm the diagnosis and than treat accordingly. Regards.
