Ears Feel Plugged And Painful Even After Amoxicillin Course Completion

About a month ago, I was initially diagnosed with an outer ear infection. I was put on a 10 day rx for amoxacillin and antibiotic ear drops. After the ten days, my ear still felt plugged and painful so I went back to the er and they gave me a antibiotic shot, prescribed 10 more days of Cephalexin and gave me a stronger ear drop. When the 10 days came close to ending, I finally went to an ENT. He told me to discontinue the antibiotics and eardrops. He suctioned my ear out because he said there was a fungus growing. He discovered a hole in my eardrum and prescribed a powder to kill the fungus. Now (8 days later). I have no pain but my ear still feels plugged (sounds like im under water) and my ear drains a yellowish liquid. What can I do? Have a ruined my hearing? Im tired of the drainage.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

First thin i would like to assure you is tht you have not ruined your hearing and you will be back to normal soon. The discharge and plugging are due to an ear infection and you may need another course of antibiotics . The ear powder will take care of the fungal infection and i think you should continue it. Please meet your ent doctor again as your ear may need to be cleaned again.
Dont worry, be patient, you will be fine!
Take care
