Edema, Lasix For Prevention, Shortness Of Breath, Pain In Neck, Right Shoulder, Arm, Heart Trouble ?

I have had edema for a couple of months now. Lasix is not taking the fluid off. I had an echo and that was ok. But I do have an appt with a cardiologist in two weeks. I get very short of breath. T oday I am not feeling well. Pain in my neck, right shoulder and right arm. Feel very tired and clammy. Thought I was coming down with a cold this morning. Could it be my heart.

Hello and welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

Although you have had an echocardiogram that was negative, you still could be having cardiac issues. Shortness of breath, pain in you neck, fatigue and clamminess can indicate heart problems.
The pain in your right shoulder and right arm could be atypical if you are male. Women can have these symptoms that would point toward a cardiac issue.

I suggest you go to your nearest hospital emergency room to rule out an heart issue.

I hope that I have satisfactorily answered your questions. Feel free to contact me for any additional follow up questions that you may have. If you are satisfied with the answers I have given, please “accept” the answer.

Be well,
Dr. Kimberly
