HI,
Lets break down this question in parts as it will be easy for me to help you understand the medical code.
A) "Slight elevated red blood cell and
white blood cell in URINE"
1) RED BLOOD CELL- are the cell present in blood which makes it appear red and the function of this cell is to deliver the OXYGEN to body tissue,
2) WHITE BLOOD CELLS- contains multitude of cell which performs defense function in blood against the the microorganisms like bacterias, viruses, parasites
Now normally there should be no red blood cell / white cell in the urine present, not the presence of these cell in the urine leads to several possibilities, as follows
1) Infection, inflammation, or injury to the
urinary system.
2) kidney stones,
3) Blood-clotting disorders,
4)
Sickle cell anemia,
5) A tumor in any part of urinary track ( kidney,
ureter, bladder,
urethra)
6) Genetic kidney disorders.
So to rule out possibilities they did the
ULTRASOUND ON THE KIDNEY AND all is NORMAL that is VERY GOOD news,
B)
C-REACTIVE PROTEIN -
c-reactive protein is kind of substance released during some infection / inflammatory (swelling) kind of situation and the 1.4 is the number we got from lab
now normal range is from " 0-1.0" slightly high is from "1.0-3.0" extremely high is from 3.0-10.0
our number falls in the middle range that indicate little high means probability of infection / inflammation is present.
C) Sedimentation RATE :- The rate at which the blood cell gets stuck/ piled on each other in case if they are suspended under gravity , help in knowing presents of Autoimmune disorders/chronic diseases are present or not.
NOW NORMAL NUMBERS FOR SED RATE ARE AS FOLLOWS
Men under 50 years old: less than 15 mm/hr
Men over 50 years old: less than 20 mm/hr
Women under 50 years old: less than 20 mm/hr
Women over 50 years old: less than 30 mm/hr
But in our case the rate is certainly high which is 58 mm/hr Giving an indirect conformation of the present of some kind of chronic disease may be infective in nature.
This is all they have so far , But your physician still needs to do some more test in order to come the PERFECT DIAGNOSIS ,
Hope it helps.
