Elevated Gamma, Alcohol Addiction. Should I Stop Drinking?
Hello I have had LFTs done and my gamma GT was 107 and my doctor asked me to stop alcohol, I stopped for few week and then again started drinking. I drink around 3 to 4 days a week with 6 standard drink everyday. What do you suggest should I stop it completely. Is 107 too high and at what level Gamma Gt becomes more severe...
Hello
My sincerest advise to you is stop alcohol completely for at least 2 years.
This level is high and high persistent GGTP will result in alcoholic cirrhosis sooner or later.
Your levels are much more than normal levels.
Thanks
