Elevated Heart Rate While Sleeping Sideways. Feeling Lightheaded. Need To Be Checked?
Sometimes while laying on my left side my heart changes it beating. Making me feel like I need to turn over or sit up. Sometimes while sitting or walking it will start beating funny. Like its off beat and I will get light headed. No pain. After about 5 or 6 sec.it goes away. Always been a runner. Notice a change in my running also. No pain while running. Not over weight either.
You are probably having an arrhythmia - it is advisable to have it investigated.
EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
