Enlarged Myoma Uteri With Intact Endometrium . Myomectomy Suggested. Suffer From Abdominal Pain And Bleeding. Is Myomectomy Needed?

Hi, I'm 37 years old with enlarged moyama uteri with intact endometrium, my ob recommends mayomectomy. Remarks as follows: Globularly enlarged anteverted uterus with irregular contour and heterogenous echopattern. Well circumsribed heterogenous mass at the posterior myometrial wall measuing 8.78 x 8.70cm(intramural mayoma with subserous component)
Does it need mayomectomy as i suffer from abdominal pain and bleedingduring my menses.
Please advise.

Myoma uteri is a fibroid which is a benign tumor of uterine muscle...It is of 3 types intra mural,subserous,submucosal varieties..
Symptoms of these are irregular menses with increased blood loss..
Frequency and urgency for urination because of pressure effect on underlying bladder..
There are many modes of treatment medical and surgical.
Medical includes Gnrh agonists,,oral contraceptive pills..
Surgical includes myomectomy,hysterectomy,endometrial ablation etc.,


Your size is of 8*8 cm so it doesn't reduces by medical treatment..
Go for myomectomy,,In this tumorous part of the uterus is removed only,,
