Enlarged Papillae On The Back Of Tongue, Numb Throat. Diagnosed Pneumonia, On Antibiotics. Advice
I have had a fever for almost a month now and been to 3 different doctors. The last one diagnosed me with pnumonia and gave me a shot and a third antibiotic to take. The fever has decreased but is not completely gone and now I have enlarged papillae on the back of my tongue. My throat is numb and I cannot taste much of anything. Can you please help me?
Hello, Enlarged papillae can be arised from the pneumonia infection. Gargle frequently with warm saline or betadine. Avoid intakr of spicy,salty allergic foods. Take plenty of fluids and nutritious diet. Vitamin becosules,c,iron supplements has to be administered. Maintain oral hygiene well. Hope this helps.
