Epidermal Cyst For 10 Years, Got Hit In Scrotum, Cyst Went Away. Will There Be Liquid In Sac?

Hi I had an epididmyal cyst for about ten years that had been getting bigger, yesterday I got hit in the scrotum and it went away. It still hurts a bit but just like I got hit in the sack. So my question is, where did it go? Is there going to be liquid in my sac? It kind of feels like that right now? Does it just go away in time? Can't afford a doctor right at the moment.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Usually any external or internal cyst after any compression or shearing force, its sac get tear and let out its fluid into surrounding space ( either outside or inside the body).

The contents of sac may be clear fluid or thick white consistency.
As of now you do not have any swelling in local region.
You do not have any fever or rigor.
Thus you do not have any infection.

As the sac wall is still there, i expect it may recur again and form a cyst.

I advise you to take rest and wait for some days.
But it is better to get a physical examination by a physician to rule out any injury to epididymis and testicles.

Hope this helps.
If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr.Manjeth.
