Episodes Of Dizziness, Fainting, Vomiting Blood, Prescribed Iberet Folic For Low BP. Is It Side Effect ?

i have a family member outside the USA and has been prescribed iberet folic 500mg for low blood pressure. She has been having epics of dizziness, fainting, and vomiting blood prior to receiving this new medication. One of the side effects is dizziness and fainting feeling. Why would a doctor prescribe the med that has the same symptom the patient is incurring because of low blood pressure?

Thanks for your question

Your history suggests that the patient had anemia(low hemoglobin) due to which was prescribed ibret folic, which contains iron+ folic acid.
Gastric symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and black colored stool are accompanied by the use of iron in ibret folic

I suggest patient should consult doctor for the ongoing symptoms

Hope that answers
