Even After Occupational Therapy Burning, Swelling In The Hands And Fingers After Wrist Surgery. Is It CRPS?

My wife had wrist surgery 12/12/13 for a fracture. She has had a cast and now a removable splint and still has burning, swelling in her hand and fingers even though she is getting occupational therapy. A "pain" physician referral indicated that she may have a mild case of CRPS. Steroids and ganglion surgery/injection are not an option.

Hi
I think after a wrist surgery there are two things likely to happen refkex sympathetic dystrophy or carpet tunnel symdrome You need to get emg ncv investigation and mri wrist to rule out cts.
If its rsd then you may need steroid injection and if that does not help you need to get the sympathetic ganglion excision.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
