Every Month I Have Headaches, Extreme Fatigue And A General

Every month I have headaches, extreme fatigue and a general feeling of malaise along with heat sensitivity in my hands, feet and esophagus. The symptoms are in correlation with my menstrual cycle and occur mid-cycle and at the start of menstruation. I've tried two types of low-dose birth control pills which only lightened my periods but did nothing to eliminate or reduce the described symptoms. I'm wondering what is causing this extreme form of pms and if there are any treatments other than what I have tried. I am almost 46 and have only been experiencing this for that past year.
