Every Once In Awhile I Wake Up With Very Painful

Every once in awhile I wake up with very painful cramping in my foot (feet) and toes. I assume I am not drinking enough water and the pain alleviates soon after I force my foot to get into a normal position. In the last 24 hrs I have not had any of these muscle spasms but the same area from my ankles to the toes is swelling up and is quite puffy. No significant pain but a very slight numbness. If I depress the tissue it pops right back up. I have been drinking a lot more water lately and weather has been humid and very hot and I have been doing a lot more walking than usual. Removed a tick which was not engorged,
noredness, rash or pain. Trying to think of anything else unusal recently.
