Excessive Mucus In Nose, Throat, Ears, Shortness Of Breath. Had Gall Bladder Removed, Pneumonia Since Then. Suggestions?

I am 38 years old and I had my gall bladder removed in February. One month later I had pnuemonia and since then I have had steroid shots because the symptoms are lingering. I have been on numerous antibiotics, even IVs. I now have excessive mucus in my nose and throat and ears. I am experiencing shortness of breath, pain in legs, labored breathing and still unable to do do housework.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Please remove a misconception that pneumonia was due to gallbladder removal.
Pneumonia is a disease caused by certain bacteria or virus or other pathogens.
As mucus from lungs ,nose, ear, feelings of breathlessness (dysponea), these symptoms are cause of concern.
Since, you are having these symptoms from last 5 months , so upload the various reports of treatment took during this period.
Sputum examination is very important .
May be due to as,
Bronchiectasis,
Lung abscess,
Asthmatic allergic bronchitis,
Lobar pneumonia.
X ray chest and M R I also also helpful.
Consult a Pulmonologist and get his opinion and treatment.
Good luck.
