Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband perspired extremely heavily, was weak, nauseous, & wet himself...which smelled like ammonia . The spell lasted about an hour. He is resting now...about 4 hours after incident. He is 61 years old...just had a treadmill test by a cardio specialist this past week. As he is resting, I Am on the Internet researching in fear that he had a heart attack! Is it possible thathe had a heart attack? Please respond to : YYYY@YYYY
Respected Ma'm Thanks for your query. The diagnosis of heart attack is based upon history, ECG findings and chemical testing. Only historical perspective can be evaluated by your query and by your description this may or may not be a heart attack but on can not 100% rule out this possibility. Some patients, although atypical, can present with these features. A normal TMT test by no means guarantee that subject will not have heart attack in future at any time. I would request you to show him to your doctor in emergency. Sincerely Sukhvinder
