Experiencing Constant Ringing In Ear Due To Swimming
i am a swimmer and have ringing in my left ear, however, i dont have any liquid in the ear itself. im thinking its being caused when i exhale under water and breath to my right side. i believe that the compression of the air bubbles under the water is affecting the ear. again there is no liquid in the ear. any suggestions
As per your query you are experiencing ringing in your ear due to swimming . Well the symptoms you mention in query is probably due to swimmer's ear . Swimmer's ear is an infection in the outer ear canal, which runs from your eardrum to the outside of your head. It's often brought on by water that remains in your ear after swimming, creating a moist environment that aids bacterial growth. Sometimes infection spread to inner and middle ear also specially when left untreated . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may examine with tot scope and examine tympanic membrane to rule out causes like alteration on blood pressure of local area , TMJ problem and meniere's disease . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment , antibiotics and supplement like ginkgo biloba . For now apply dry hot compresses to external ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
