Experiencing Intermittent Numbness Radiating From Neck, Have Cardiac Episodes. What Do I Do?
Hi, I am experiencing intermittent numbness radiating from my neck (left side) up into my face. It felt like my vein in my neck and occured for the first time last when during a very heated conversation with a colleague. I am 38 and healthy (run half marathons) but worried I am having some sort of cardiac episode brought on by stress.
X-ray or MRI of the neck is advisable - for cervical spondylosis Carotid Doppler may help...
Ischemia is not likely if you could run marathon...HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Anxiolytics may help...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
