after a 6 1\2 hour flight and feeling very uncomfortable with my back and feeling hot and slightly warm on my face i noticed after the flight i had a pain in my left chest by my heart. it sometimes feels uncomfortable when breathing in and out or when i laugh. i have had tis now for just under 48 hrs and it still hasnt gone and i have been taking gaviston thinking it may be indigestion. im hoping it may be muscular due to me sitting on the plane after having lower back pain i also feel very slightly flushed. iam 48 yrs old and see myself as fit and healthy as i do high intensity exercise 5 times a week and i weigh around 9st 5 and my height is 5.3. am i worrying for nothing ?
I appreciate your concern, travelling by air may cause certain obvious symptoms but not exactly as you have stated here, it might be due to that but it is not likely or common, in my opinion pre-existing condition need to be rule out for cardiac disease that might not be seen before or manifested any time, so better to get done the EKG and x-ray chest and for symptomatic relief oral Aspirin can be taken, 250 mg just once, drink more water, else it is nothing to worry.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
